There was a delay of six hours between the time the last CS gas grenades were fired into the building and the fire. So there's little chance the CS grenades (which can burn hot enough to start a fire) caused the inferno.

Tonight, Michael Savage was drawing comparisons between this and Waco. He said they were just allegations of sexual abuse and that the kids would be better off with the church than with child protective services.
As far as it just being "allegations of sexual abuse" goes, if a 50-year-old impregnates a 15-year-old, how could that not be considered abuse?

Are you saying Michael Savage supports pedophiles?

If it was teenage boys getting raped by gross old men, Savage would ripping into the authorities for not doing something earlier.

There's something amiss with this whole compound thing.

Turns out the Barlow guy the cops are looking for has been in Arizona for several years and apparently has an airtight alibi through his probation officer.

The 16-year-old girl has yet to be identified, much less found. The 911 recording has yet to be released to the public. And the judge overseeing the case has issued a gag order.

Makes me wonder if some boys in charge were just looking for a convenient excuse to shake down some Mormons.

Lotta rats fall out of that tree when shaken, from the looks of things.

Indeed, but if the whole raid is based on (what turns out to be) a fabrication, will any of what they turn up in the raid be admissible in court?

I believe that would depend on plausibility of the threat. If the 911 call was believed to be real, the authorities must act. Any evidence obtained there after should be admissible.

  11. I'm assuming some judge issued a warrant for all this, right?

But if the warrant is based on a fake call, doesn't that put the search in jeopardy?

Now, if these fucks were abusing children, and it sure as hell looks like they were, a few years in a federal PMITA prison for them would be a good thing.

However, it would truly suck if the case was thrown out because the 911 call was a fake.
