My writing partner Joe and I finished our first movie.

It's done. The first draft is mother flucking done.

I don't even know what to do right now.

136 pages for the first draft, which we'll trim down to around 100.

    But it's done.

    Wow.

    Wow, that's amazing.
Someone's gotta ask: What's it about?

BW - Trust me, that's DEFINITELY the hard part. Luckily for me I have a heads up...

My brother went to Penn where he was a writing partner with a guy named Jon. My brother graduated in 2001 and left school, leaving Jon to find another writing partner. Jon did. And they wrote Harold and Kumar.
And they called my brother, and he helped them sell it to the studio in Hollywood.
    Yay.

    AM-
It's a rather basic frat comedy, with several funny scenes and a simple plot. Don't worry, my Mean Streets is next..

GB, I may pick your brain for advice one day.

Congrats on finishing the project. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

In other words, there's lots of female nudity in it?

    Slap -

I know what you mean, and the only way to describe it is this - we genuinely laughed out loud when we were writing the scenes, and that means something.
It's not Woody Allen funny, but definitely plays to a 18-30 crowd, like — and I know I'm shooting for the moon here — Old School or American Pie.

We have other movies in the works that are smarter and a really cool idea for a sports drama that we're about to start, but we wanted to use this movie as a primer, basically to see if we could work well together (yes), finish the project (yes) and try to sell it and make connections (yes).

I co-wrote one in college -- well, a buddy wrote it and brought it to me to re-write it -- and it was a steaming pile of shit. It was essentially a Swingers knockoff that I'd be embarrassed to read today.
