5 cops killed, more injured during protests against police in Dallas

I'm always careful when I talk about America, because I'm not from there and I have many American friends. But God, it is one sick society. Just everything that's going on down there seems like total lunacy. I don't know when it all started, exactly, but I have no idea how you guys are going to walk it back. I hope you manage it. I just really don't see how. I wouldn't even know where you'd begin.

I don't know who did this or what motivated them. What I do feel like is that there is a "top this one" culture festering right now among America's looniest citizens. I acknowledge that we used to be a more violent country, on the whole. But it seems that today there are some who are increasingly desensitized to mass murder as some kind of sick theater.

This is so upsetting. Those guys were just doing their damn jobs.

Dallas PD used a robot with a bomb to kill the shooter? That's a first.

 

Meanwhile, Larry Brown did something selfish while his city was in turmoil:

 

Selfish but smart. He knows no one will bother to look into how he's been cheating his ass off since he got there at the moment. At least not locally.

Sounds like this was in the works for a while over a contract squabble. The timing of the newsbreak was very unfortunate.

 

"We saw no other option other than to use our bomb robot and place a device......for it to detonate where the suspect was.....the suspect is deceased.... as a result of detonating the bomb". Dallas' police chief Brown's transparency is refreshing.
