Sources indicated that Mark Steines, George Hamilton and Mario Lopez have emerged as top contenders, with Steines, co-host of "Entertainment Tonight," getting the strongest buzz at the moment.

Tapes of "Price" auditions have been sent out and are being shown to test audiences around the country, sources said. It is believed that the options for the men who tested for the gig -- a list that also includes Todd Newton, John O'Hurley and former "Beauty and the Geek" host Mike Richards -- expire April 13.

When Bob Barker retires, they ought to simply cancel the show. Because it won't ever be the same.

Mario Lopez? Are you fucking serious?

Who would the Lopez Ladies be: Jessie Spano, Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle?

George Hamilton. He admits he uses the juice in his hair. If he takes over, he can stop and become a Barker clone.

  8. Do they all have to be spayed before they take the job?

John O'Hurley would be a great game how host. The rest of them just suck.

He already is a game show host on the Family Feud.

Well, Lopez is gay, so he won't need spaying.

Hamilton? Maybe, but how many swimmers are still in his pool?

I know nothing of Steines, but if he's a Hollywood entertainment reporter, then he's already neutered.

I always liked Lopez. Must be the shiny teeth.

Hamilton is fine. Always willing to poke fun at his image.

I don't watch ET but Steines strikes me as a collar popper.
