Billy Packer............

Billy Packer was god-awful calling tonight's NCAA title game.

Missed a slew of calls -- had to be corrected by Jim Nantz repeatedly -- and kept harping on Greg Oden the entire second half, even when the Gators were turning things around in transition.

Yes, Oden had a great game. That was Florida's strategy -- let Oden dominate inside, but take away the perimeter game.

Packer never caught up to that. He just kept harping on Oden. At the end he said Oden was the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four, and Nantz jumped in and said: What about Horford? What about Brewer?

Brewer got the award, nice call. Horford coulda shared it.

Nantz was great, but Packer was just awful. Just seemed to miss picking up the real flow of the second half, the transitional success of the Gators and also how Florida kept swinging the momentum back in its favor.

Discuss at will............Packer wasn't seeing the things I was watching...............

 

And this is different from every other game he calls because ... ?

I could deal with insufferable. I could deal with senile.

It's the combination that really puts him over the top.

As bad as Packer has always been, he was incredibly worse tonight.

He never had a clue about what was going on out there on the floor.

 

Dan, that was Packer's intent. It's the Jedi-Mind trick he pulls every year to some sucker watching the game. He keeps harping on something that you know that isn't correct, but the more you keep hearing him, you start to believe that crazy bastard.

Billy Packer...............must die.
