As do the 1985 St. Louis Cardinals.

Of course the St. Louis Cardinals had another game to correct the mistake but they laid down like dogs instead.

  3. I'd say the fact that, 35 years later, we're still here and the country that got the breaks from the refs doesn't even exist any more is evidence that we should let this one go.

Of course that Game 7 never would've existed had there not been the "mistake."

Really? Did Jorge Orta score ... or was he thrown out on the bases?

    End of discussion.

  7. Yeah, but if I were Joaquin Andujar, I'd be crazy over this.

That makes far too much sense.

Someone needs to ask Tom McMillan why he backed 20 feet away from the baseline on the inbounds play. Instead of guarding the thrower, he was in the middle of nowhere doing nothing, a total brain fart. He claims the official told him to back off, but the tape shows the official didn't speak to him, and it turns out didn't even speak English. When Belov catches the US players are off balance and fall down, terrible defense.

The US should have won, but they were not blameless.

  10. Or South Africa.
    Such as.
