How exactly is a song performance either sports OR news?

I love Green Day (fuck you, Bono), but is this really necessary?

BTW, wouldn't the league be better served bringing in an R&B/Soul/Jazz group? Billie Joe and Co. don't exactly scream "New Orleans."

I don't think concerts really have a place for sports. The NFL kickoff weekend always irks me.

Call U2 a bunch of selfish jerks all you fuckin want but they've done a lot for
many of the world's less fortunate. And hold your tongue on Green Day, too. They may be obviously liberal (or at least just hate Bush) but they did a lot during the 2004 campaign to get young people out to vote.

    Did Green Day sing, "Holiday"?

  8. Was there something wrong with Bono's back? He was all scrunched over like a hunchback.

It should be noted that U2 has been together exactly 30 years and one day. Their longevity and their status may be unmatched - even by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

U2 had the last great moment in the dome.

    It was totally appropriate.

Nice to know the ARodU2-bashing crowd is in full throat.
