Sean Penn is the absolute worst possible cast for this. Jim Carrey? Funny but in no way a Curly.

There is no damn way this is anything close to the original. No way.

 

I'm a little too young to remember "Fridays." (I know it existed, but I've never really watched it). It's still hard for me to imagine Larry David playing any other character than Larry David.

 

I was a big fan of Fridays when I was a kid.

 

We ALL put the yeast in.

 

Three words in the initial explanation will keep me from paying any more attention to this subject: the Farrelly brothers.

For that reason alone, I hope it doesn't get made.

Besides, wasn't there a better made-for-TV biopic about the Stooges a few years ago with Michael Chiklis as Curly? I remember seeing it and liking it, but I can't recall the title.

 

If this was done as a drama about how fucked up their real lives were, it could be pretty interesting.

 

Recruiting sergeant: "Were you born in this country?"

Dewey, Cheatem and Howe.

this project should be scrapped immediately unless it's done as a drama. it's like trying to recapture the marx brothers. can't be done.

 

It will only work if they do it as a musical.
