Guess this proves why MGM's future is about as bright as the Tribune Co's.

I mean sure it's a fantastic cast. But between the 2 directors and the 3 colossal prima donnas in the cast, it's never going to be made on time or on budget...if it's made at all.

This set has the potential to make Bonfire of the Vanities look as smoothly run as a McDonald's counter.

What about Artie Lange as the fat one?

I have never seen him act but I find him very funny.

I am really, really into The Stooges.

There was a TV movie a few years back that was actually pretty good. Michael Chiklis of "The Commish" fame was a very credible Curly. The guy who plays Mary's boss in "In Plain Sight" on USA Network was Moe. The guy who was Charlotte's goofy-looking hubby on Sex and the City was Larry.

The best part was Moe and Larry walking down the beach, after Shemp died, long after Curly's death, when the disgrace, Joe Besser, was getting a paycheck to do the 18-minute shorts from Columbia that long lost their luster.

Larry said to Moe, 'two Stooges and a holdout.'

Chiklis had Curly's mannerisms down pat.

I think that cast would do fine. I'm more concerned that the Farrelly Brothers have lost much off their fastball.

    Nice analogy, considering this board.

    Freddie Mercury was smashing!

And Spicoli would gnarlily dispute the notion that Penn can't do comedy. Plus, I'm sure the movie would show a lot of drama behind the scenes with the Stooges, so you would need people with a decent amount of chops to play the roles.
