Glad nobody was hurt, and that they'll be able to get the paper out.

Apparently, they had a 6 p.m. deadline last night and will have a 6 p.m. deadline tonight. Almost all features in Sunday's paper and, unless they change the deadline, no NASCAR story in Monday's paper. I guess times like make you glad there's the Web site.

    No apparently.
We do have another 6 p.m. close. That's lockup, not deadline.
We will have a NASCAR story in tomorrow and a damn good one. It just won't be about today's race.
Interesting 24 or so hours here.

I meant to say no NASCAR race story. Hang in there. This has got to be frustrating as hell. How long are you guys going to have to deal with these early deadlines?

Mike, you don't staff NASCAR west of the Rockies, correct?

Most people who want that info will have watched/listened to the race anyway, I think. And having that story's an unaffordable luxury right now.

    Likewise.
