    I was in college, living on pizza and beer, and not knowing that my football team had had mild success it would not match for another 16 years.

    I don't think I'll get anywhere near 25 years at my shop. The reason being: My publisher's 90 years old and his wife (the CEO) is no spring chicken. Besides that, the paper where I work is a community weekly that's widely considered a starting point for a career. If I'm still here in 25 years, it won't be good. I've already logged roughly a year and a half here.

    Having said that, I get a lot of fulfillment out of certain aspects of what I do. I doubt I'd be able to do it for the long term, however.
