2020 when they made the playoffs he was pretty good -- 62.8 percent passing, 26 TDs, 8 INT, 3,563 yards and then 263 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs in Wild Card win / 204 yards, TD, INT in loss to AFC champs

Baker will always be a bit of an enigma to me. He looked promising as a rookie, then ready to break out after his third year, when he lead the Browns to the playoffs, which is miracle worker-level stuff. Two games into Year 4 and he had completed 80 percent of his passes and then got hurt. And for whatever reason and no matter who anyone wants to blame, he has never recovered. Bernie Kosar went through a similar thing in his fourth year. Got hurt, never quite got it back. Kosar, though, was smart and Baker is not. Baker has the physical tools to be a solid NFL quarterback but his lack of mental capacity to handle the job and all that goes with it will never allow the physical tools a chance. But at least he didn't molest nearly 30 women. So there's that.

It's the NBA, but - Jalen Rose has always noted that just because you're a great player, it doesn't mean you heal any quicker or any better than anyone else. Injuries are a motherfucker, and for every guy that comes back and looks like the same player (Burrow) there are probably more that are permanently effected. Baker has basically been awful for two years now, but he's going to get camp invites for the next decade, if he wants them, based on that initial promise he showed.

He's short and he hasn't really learned how to play in a pocket. Hasn't enjoyed the copious weapons of a Mahomes (who is great, but has had much better players to throw to.)
