How could Carl Banks be a HOFer, playing next to LT (and Harry Carson)?

    :p

Apparently, you don't get the joke. And apparently, you don't play fantasy football -- at least, not in the '00s.

Oh, wait... I remember now. You're the Jaguars fan, right? Now I get it.

So I say again: Lighten up, Francis.

Just FYI, this is the header to Taylor's page in Pro Football Reference:

    Fred Taylor
    Frederick Antwon Taylor (Fragile Fred)

This is no disrespect to Fred Taylor, who is at least borderline for the Hall, but if you were only going to pick one back this year to get consideration, he wasn't even top five on the initial list to make the semifinals -- Alexander, Barber, Dillon, George, Holmes, Walker, and Watters have better resumes -- so it's weird he's the one that advanced

He's the career leader in game-time decisions!

    Finalists have been announced:

    Jared Allen
    Ronde Barber
    Tony Boselli
    LeRoy Butler
    Alan Faneca
    Torry Holt
    Calvin Johnson
    John Lynch
    Peyton Manning
    Clay Matthews
    Sam Mills
    Richard Seymour
    Zach Thomas
    Reggie Wayne
    Charles Woodson

I missed on Barber and Matthews and thought they would go with Patrick Willis and Bryant Young.

And no offense to those linebackers, but no Willis again? Yet Calvin Johnson is a finalist on the first try?

My guess at the five inductees:

    Jared Allen
    Alan Faneca
    Peyton Manning
    Reggie Wayne
    Charles Woodson

If it's not Wayne then it's Lynch but I think they will put Wayne in with Manning.

Interesting that Allen played for four teams.

Zach Thomas HAS to make it; I named my son after him!!! (Blame Griese/Csonka, OJ/Plunkett ineptitude of 49ers and dislike of Raiders)

    Whew.

(FWIW, Willis before Zach Thomas, maybe even Clay Matthews. Sorry about the other one ... I'm biased.)

The only thing I can think on Matthews is that this is his last year he is eligible to be modern candidate before heading the Senior Committee

Love Woodson and Manning going in together
    Hope Phil Fulmer is pissed
