If I knew the answer to that, I could do something about it. You know?

    It ain't ownership's politics.
Ownership has hosted at least one GQP klan meeting in the publicly financed ballpark. And we know they let Beer Bong Brett rack up season-ticket charges without paying them off in a timely fashion.

Akil Baddoo. 4 home runs in his first 20 Major League at-bats and the Tigers acquired him in the Rule 5 despite his having never played above A ball.

It seems Moddy may have been right.

    2-160 is still in play.

Not only were the no-hitters off the board in the first inning in San Francisco, that frame was more like “Everything is going on.”

I’ve never figured out why terrible teams don’t take more chances on Rule 5 guys.

I think a lot do, but there are only 5 or 6 such situations in any given year. In this case, Baddoo has a lengthy injury history and had never played above A ball. The fact that he's accomplished this much in the major leagues in the course of two weeks may be success in and of itself.

When the Twins played Detroit, Falvey said Baddoo was right on the edge but since he was hurt and hadn’t really played in two years they couldn’t justify protecting him
Tigers haven’t had a lot of luck in their rebuild but this kid looks like a player

When I covered the Blue Jays they had a Rule V pick at third who was a pretty good player — Kelly Gruber
