    What I described is essentially the same as a lifetime appointment, just with a cap on it.
    You can't be fired. You don't have to run for re-election. You can't go past whatever the term limit is even if you want to.
    It serves the same purpose as a life term. It just keeps people appointed in the 1970s from deciding what's best for people in 2020.
