And yet the Rams play at Philly and at Buffalo on consecutive weeks. Dumb.

Troy Vincent was asked if the NFL had a backup plan and he said no, this is our schedule

I suspect the backup plan is they'll just whack weeks off the schedule in entirety if necessary, and if the schedule ends up unbalanced as a result, so be it.

I don't see any other way they can do it.
That's close enough. Hour and 15 minute flight. Can practice somewhere either around Philly or Buffalo. No need to come back west.

But would they try to preserve the division games or whack those?

He's starting to look like the guy from "Mad Men." Who was drunk a lot too.

49ers have set up camp at Youngstown State when they have back-to-back East Coast games in past seasons. As Gee suggested, Rams will likely find a place to hunker down between games.

I’m sure that’s the company line. But there’s absolutely no way that’s true.

If you mean Roger Sterling, I will not have this.

    Roger was a god.

    Trey is no Roger Sterling.

Sure. So just make the second game a Thursday nighter and make it easier.

Only really dove into the Saints' schedule, but they have a weird one:
    • They open two new stadiums (Rams in the first preseason game, and the Raiders in Week 2)
    • Have Brady's Tampa debut in Week 1
    • Don't play a game in the early Sunday time slot until going to Detroit in Week 4. They only play five early-afternoon games, with four of them against Carolina and Atlanta, despite only playing two games west of the Mississippi River.
    • The two games against the Falcons are in a three-week span, in Weeks 11 and 13
    • The second Falcons game is part of a three-game road trip (Denver-Atlanta-Philly)
    • They have four primetime games, including three in the first five weeks of the season.
    • They play the Vikings on Christmas Day (a Friday afternoon)

Another bizarre quirk I just saw: The Giants play five of their six division games in a six-week span from Weeks 5-10. They go Cowboys-Redskins-Eagles-Bucs-Redskins-Eagles.
