Someone said today that Winston has completed more passes to Saints than Hill.

Honestly, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Hill has played in 37 games for the Saints. He has six completions.

Winston has 10 interceptions in nine games against the Saints.

So who is going to be tanking for Trevor now? The Pats? The Lions? Seems like most of the teams that suck have a "QBofthefuture." The only other team I can see drafting in the top 10 next year who might need a qb is if the Redskins give up on Haskins or if the Panthers go nowhere with Bridgewater.

Panthers' deal with Bridgewater is for three years at about $20 million per season. That makes looking for a long-term QB a distinct possibility.

But they might need more defensive players by the bunch, too. They didn't load up on enough of those over the weekend ...

Just watched a rerun of LSU-Alabama. There were only nine first round picks on the field in that game. This year. I figure Waddle and Harris will be come their turn.

Him, too probably. Also five guys from the game went in the second round. That's more than half the starters on the field either first or second round choices. I don't know if that's a record, but if it isn't, whichever game holds the record is pretty damn famous.

Saw the stat this weekend that LSU had 20 draft-eligible players. All of them either got drafted or signed free agent contracts. Even the long snapper was a seventh-round pick.

Looked up the 1967 draft, because the Notre Dame-Michigan St. game was considered and was a matchup of superteams. Seven of the players in that game went in the first round in '67, and two in the second (Spartans had four of the top 10 picks). In the subsequent two years, two more guys who were a junior and sophomore in the game, Kevin Hardy and Jim Seymour of Notre Dame, went in the first round.

Trevor Lawrence will be passed by at least 1 QB and 1 other position prospect, IMO.

Trey Lance is a name to watch.
