From Denny's postrace transcript, and can we talk sponsor activation?

[MODERATOR] And FedEx, I assume they will be delighted with the TV time and you winning this race even though it was virtual?

DENNY HAMLIN: Yeah, yeah, it’s great that we’re able to give some value back to the sponsors, not on the real racetrack right now, but certainly if you put yourself in front of an FS 1 audience you’re going to get some publicity, so that’s always good. This was more of a thank?you for them. They didn’t pay us or anything.

Also, this happened on a pit stop so congratulations to Denny for overcoming adversity or something like that:

Why was that on FS1 and a race from 1986 on main Fox?

    Crap. Hate I missed that.
I'd be tickled to death to watch replays of races from the 70s and 80s.

That's why children are not allowed in the pit box.

I'd have watched that too. Who beat?

The PGA needs to set up a foursome on remote simulators with Tiger, Rory, Koepka, and a fan chosen from a qualifying round (if they are deemed good enough) Or Rahm, Thomas - whomever.

Not sure about the '86 race, but Hamlin beat Earnhardt Jr. coming out of turn 4 for the iRace win.

It was the race where Earnhardt took out Waltrip and Bodine, while Kyle Petty slipped through and beat.

The virtual race is being rebroadcast on FS1 right now.
