    Yeah, a bunch in MLB, but typically Lonnie Smith and his ilk.

    Steve Carlton, but his last was with the Twins, and he didn't pitch in the WS.

    Wow Lefty won with the Cards in '68, Phils in '80, then Twins in '87. I previously wrote that I saw him get lit up as a Giant on a beautiful Sunday afternoon game and thought that was the end ('86) but then he went to the CWS and pitched decently (3.69 ERA) and then got 21 starts between Cle and Minn in '87 and even got a few starts in '88. Amazing career. Thanks for reminder.

    It should be Kevin Willis and Tree Rollins, on retainer. Because in my mind they’re still sitting on the end of a bench somewhere.

    The Heat have essentially had this with Udonis Haslem for five years.

    Watching with my son and we both knew the play was going to be Tatum dribbling out the clock to take a garbage, contested shot. Just didn’t think he’d actually bank the thing in.
