2020-2021 NBA Regular Season thread

    I think there's plenty of middle ground between "they were beating up on your dad's smoking buddy from college" and "this is as competitive as the modern NBA." The league steadily transitioned from mostly white guys to around 60 to 70 percent of the player base being Black since the 1990s. I still think Russell and Chamberlain would have been All-Timers in any era, but their numbers probably look ridiculous because X percent of the league shouldn't have been in the league. (I don't know exactly what that X should be - seems like a task more for a Hollinger or Kevin Pelton.)

    I thought the JJ ejection last week was justified because he spun the ball when he passed it to the ref in way where it looked to me like he was trying to embarrass the ref. This one seems a complete overreaction.
