Serena's first serve was just hideous yesterday. She had no chance because of it.

Who ends up with more majors, Fed,?Rafa or Djoker? Pretty amazing Djoker is even in conversation given his late breakthrough.

So a time violation for a service fault in the 5th set of an Open final against Nadal is about the equivalent of a footfault against Serena in 2009.

Why no threats of violence or insane outburst?

Because you’re not racist about Nadal?

Or Nadal isn’t a sociopathic megalomaniac with anger issues

Double fault lost the game and gave a break to Medvedev on an umpire time call. And no blow ups. No threats. No outrage.
Nadal must not be a true competitor. No heart?

Just an awesome match. Medvedev was elevated to the top tier today.

About time. Men's tennis needs the next generation to start taking over. The current top tier has basically been in place since Sampras and Agassi retired and Roddick snaked his one major. That's been 16 years.

A lot in common with men's golf and men's tennis in that regard. Men's tennis is just as bad about pining for Rafa/Fed/Djoker as golf is about pining for Tiger. At some point, those dudes won't be there anymore.

A small window has opened up for Wawrinka to sneak in there, but he's a late bloomer and is getting long in the tooth too.
