2019 NFL off-season thread

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by John B. Foster, Jan 23, 2019.

  1. Wouldn't that be pennies, compared to expanded local, regional and national coverage? That's a lot more real football being covered by the Networks and for DISH and cable providers, which they would have to pay.

Honestly, I think the NFL is working damn hard to kill the golden goose.

Ezekiel Elliott got 6 games from King Roger I for "allegations."

Tyreek Hill gets 0 games from King Roger I for "allegations."

What is driving the king mad? Gout, syphilis or Jerry Jones?

NFL will not suspend Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill

It wasn't just allegations in Hill's case. There is audio of him threatening the mother of his child.

  7. That's what I thought ...
"Lions cut 'insert name here' to make room for 'insert name here' at running back."

One of the benefits of the strike was covering Barry in his prime
I drove to Buffalo one weekend and the Lions PR guy at the time told me:
“These are the best trips, when you come into a town where they’ve never seen Barry and you see how all the fans react to him.”

Tyreek Hill explains 'punching' his 3-year-old

Tyreek Hill now claims he was just teaching his three-year-old son to box, then "Sometimes, things get thrown out of context when feelings get involved and emotions. But I’m not going to get into all that."

I get why the police dropped the charges, but with his history and the audio of him threatening the child's mother, how the hell was he not suspended at all with this ridiculous excuse?
