Leake didn’t even get out of the first inning against the Angels last week and was almost perfect tonight. Baseball.

 

Matt Harvey DFA'd. Man - for a few months I thought that guy was the next Tom Seaver.

 

Meanwhile in SF - 0-0 into the 10th. Six hits total. Is it normal for pitchers to get strikes on more than two-thirds of their pitches these days? Is that the pitching strategy, just throw strikes, don't try and nibble the corners?

 

And the Mets' defense goes full Mets and the left for dead Giants are .500. Unbelievable.

 

That and guys trying to send balls into orbit on every swing means a lot of swing throughs

 

The way things have gone for the Giants this year, I'll take it. All the while wondering if someone will tell today's Mets the "yo la tengo" story.
