Isn't that really why anyone goes to a minor/summer league game? I love baseball but at that level it's incidental to beer and good-looking women.

Love the announcer bitching about the umpires being out of position to make the call while not mentioning the call was right.

Halos-Athletics contest last night: Anaheim record 4 hours and 13 minutes.

    No thank you.

    Played a 15-inning All-Star Game there in 1967 that took 3:41.

Shades of 2019: All three runs scored on solo homers. There were 30 strikeouts. And Bill Freehan caught all 15 innings for the American League.

Of course, 2-1 is usually a whole lot faster than 10-9 in any era.

4hr games where a ball is in play less than 66% of the time? No thanks. I don’t care if the Giants are winning or not. I enjoy watching good pitching and defense and scrapping a run. I don’t want to see statutes like Moustakas playing SS and hitting bombs.

And the Angels tied the game in the eighth when a reliever walked in the run after Melvin intentionally walked Trout to load the bases to face Ohtani, and won it in the ninth on a Little League double where the left fielder was way shallow then turned around and around before the ball dropped on the warning track.

As if the Mariners aren't a train wreck already:

Seattle Mariners placed RF Mitch Haniger on the 10-day injured list. Ruptured testicle.

Can hardly wait for his interview with Angie Mentink about that one.
