Walgreens will make it. Sadly. Cubs aren't good enough. Not sure who's the bigger underachiever: Cubs or Phillies.

Padres probably weren't going to challenge the Dodgers but they were certainly built to do better than battling with Colorado for not last place in the division.

Speaking of the NL West, when will anyone actually put up a damn fight with the Dodgers? On the plus side, the other four teams being gah-bage means the Dodgers clinch too soon.

Remember when Craig Kimbrel was the missing piece for the Cubs? Hell as a Brewer fan I would be all for voting him a Brewer playoff share. Great signing Theo.

Rays games left: Red Sox (1), Yankees (2), Blue Jays (3)
Indians games left: White Sox (3), Nationals (3)

How few people were at the Red Sox-Rays game at the Trop, with the AL wild card on the line? This few:

Announced attendance: 8,779. From a friend who was at the game: “Probably not quite 3,000.”

Maybe in retirement Marty can stop bitching about how much he hates the Cubs and Chicago. Every fucking time they play. All because the Cubs didn't give his overrated son the job 25 years ago.
