Those were all included except Nola and Ryu, not enough track record.

Nola has just about as many IP as Cole had when he left Pittsburgh. He's better than Cole was at that time.

Nola has plenty of track record. Ryu is a different story because he has been hurt so much the last four years.

But the ball has nothing to do with it

Just saw it pointed out that the Angels might not have a pitcher top 100 innings pitched this season. Trevor Cahill is the only one with a shot. He's at 91 1/3, but hasn't gone longer than three innings since June. Tyler Skaggs is still fourth on their IP list.
Has any team ever done that?

Callaway yanks a dominating starter early, then pushes deGrom who isn't with Lugo available for 2 innings, and now the game's in peril. If he gets canned he'll have earned it.

To be fair, deGrom is his ace and he has absolutely nothing in that bullpen aside from Lugo. Is he supposed to throw the guy for two innings every day?

The GM can't fire himself for shitty bullpen construction, so the manager's gonna be the fall guy.

Cardinals' Paul DeJong defies the laws of physics for a hit:

Credit for hustling from the get-go.

Cards keep their three-game lead on the Cubs. The NL Central is going to go down to the wire because even though the Brewers look dead in the water, they looked like that last season and won on the last day.

The way they’re playing, though, it’s the Cardinals to lose.
