Nats probably made the wrong call running Max out there instead of Strasburg, but I give Scherzer a ton of credit. He has found a way to hold the Brewers to 3 runs even though he clearly doesn't have his best stuff and has been working hard through five innings with runners all over the place.

This ump has dinner reservations in DC. Some of these strike calls ...

I thought the HP umpire squeezed Scherzer quite a bit in the first inning. I didn't mind.
Interesting to hear the TBS crew harp on the topic. Suffice it to say MLB HQ does not want to see the Walgreens eliminated.

I really don't mind a zone that is tight or loose if it is consistent. The ump has called balls four or five inches high a strike and has squeezed on others. He then calls the strike below the knees. On both sides.

Soto knows you can't walk off in the 8th, right? How the hell do you get picked off of second there?

    Oh, and Ho. Lee. Fuk!

The Walgreens will take it. While the Brewers' RF gave them the winning run, I suspect that run would have scored eventually. Hader was atrocious.

Soto is so good. And Grisham with the Buckner-lite.

Well at least Counsell doesn’t have to worry about who pitches the ninth now.

Hader's arm is going to fall off soon.
