    This began as me making a snarky remark about the NHL fiddling around until they came up with a method to get the Rangers into the playoffs. Then it happened. And I get challenged. It's the SJ way.

    The league should have gone with a 16 or 12 team playoff, basing it on points percentage. If you were on the outside looking in and hoping to make it, tough shit. This is a force majeure, life isn't fair. Even the top 2 in each division would be fine. It seems like fewer teams and fewer games would make the virus risk much lower.

    I'm a Habs fan. I have nothing but scorn for the management of the team and being part of the extended season limbo brings me not one bit of joy. It gives the team a chance to put some lipstick on yet another pig of a season. In actuality they are outside the playoffs 4/5 seasons while not intentionally rebuilding. Time to face reality.
