The dumbest thing they did with Gruden is give him roster control. Give him veto power on a move? Sure, but we saw what roster power got him in Tampa - a ticket out of town.

Lots of shakeup among NFL officials in the past few days.

Already knew of Ed "Guns" Hochuli retiring.

Gerry Austin has left ESPN as the rules analyst and becomes Gruden's replay consultant. ESPN has hired Jeff Triplette to be its rules analyst.

The great Terry McAulay is hanging it up after 20 years -- that included three Super Bowls and eight conference championship games -- and will become NBC's rules analyst.

Sources: Terry McAulay quits NFL for NBC

And after getting his long-sought Super Bowl, Gene Steratore has called it quits and will be going to CBS, which makes sense because he's also a Division I basketball official and can provide analysis to the Tiffany's two primary sports.

The writers in Tampa are going crazy with their "please cut Jameis" hot takes this weekend. Apparently they all forgot the Bucs already exercised Jameis' 2019 fifth-year option at the tune of $20.9M...and that was done several weeks after the Uber incident hit the news. So basically it was the Glazers way of saying "fuck you, he's our guy."

Feels strange seeing Winston be accused of something and not have that cornpone jackass Jimbo Fisher come out and defend him. Oh that's right, Winston isn't Fisher's meal ticket anymore so he doesn't give a fuck.

Honestly, if they cut him what would the 2018 Bucs look like?

What would they look like if he doesn’t do another stupid off field thing?

He screws up again, then I’m guessing they would save money on his contract, so he would cut himself.
