2018 NBA playoffs running thread

Safe to say Lebron won't take it this year. Wouldn't be surprised though if he did. Rondo makes a big difference, he's not respected enough.

 

So the Bucks shot 60 percent from the field last night and lost by 14. That's hard to do. Of course, they also shot 40 percent from the free throw line.

Boogie Cousins' season-ending injury is looking like a classic "blessing in disguise" scenario.

It forced the Pels to switch from one of the league's biggest to smallest lineups, and from one of the slowest to fastest in pace. And it turns out small and fast is what they should've been doing all along. They've been a far better team without Cousins.

 

I really thought at the time of the Boogie trade the Pelicans might be onto something by zigging when everyone else was zagging, going really big and just bludgeoning teams to death.

Nope. Small ball wins over all.

 

I think it also forced Davis into doing everything, which probably isn't the worst thing in the world. Not many guys who can even slow him down, nevermind stop him.

I had been thinking there was something off about him this time around — not just the normal crankiness but really seeming like he was not enjoying himself. I wondered if he was going to hang it up.
