    It's a common parabola.

    Where did they come from?
    They're a cool team.
    I'm pulling for them.
    Yay! They won.
There are a couple of real tools on that team.
    I'm tired of them.
I'm sick of them. They think they invented the game or something.
Their fans are arrogant, Johnny-come-lately assholes.
Go back to a half-century of irrelevance where you belong.

I think the uber-analytics, "we know how to build a winning team better than anyone else," holier-than-thou attitude rubs some people the wrong way, too. You didn't see anyone hating the Royals a year or two after their championship.

We were just too stupefied that Ned Yost hit on 20 a dozen straight times and kept winning to drum up any sort of malice.

Has anyone read Ben Reiter's book, AstroBall? Apparently, it's a bestseller. I went to a reading and Ben said that the Astros have moved on from what is now considered traditional analytics to using data to fine tune individual players' games. I guess they couldn't fine-tune Altuves' leg. He also had some good inside stuff on how SI went with the Astros prediction story.

I have a good feeling about the Dodgers. Just putting this out here.

I dunno. All season long, no matter what bad thing happened to the Red Sox, they won anyway. It has that "just their year" feeling.
