Carolina played a classic against the Red Wings in Game 3 in 2002
Igor Larionov won it in the third overtime after Arturs Irbe made about 5,000 saves

I was on press row at the ESA for that one.

We had long punted on getting anything in the section by that point. Obviously, the Wings won that one and didn't lose again.

Not sure how Holland is qualified to run the Oilers, seeing as though he’s never played for them.

Pavelski on the plane with the Sharks en route to Game 6 at Colorado. Made an appearance at the Tank during third period of Saturday night's game, first public sighting since Game 7 vs VGK.

    That's great to see.

Wow, Martin Jones has answered what I thought was impossible, someone who was playing arguably the worst goaltending of any of the playoff participants, has found the magic and is literally "playing on his head" now. Exactly the type of goaltending that leads to a Stanley Cup and makes you a historical folk hero.

Just looking through Twitter, he'll probably sit tonight out.

Not just Jones, but the whole team looked flat down the regular season stretch. Then something clicked. Hockey's gotta be the streakiest sport ...

Being the beneficiary of one of the worst calls in playoff history would be a good starting point.

It's funny how the final outcome shapes a "worst call" claim. Remember the goal that got wiped out in the final minute of Game 7 between the Hawks and Wings?

Ref called a double-minor, when the only thing the Hawk player did wrong was get himself pulled into the bench by the Detroit player. Hjalmarsson scored as the ref raised his hand.

But since the Hawks won in OT, a lot of people don't bring it up anymore.

He is not literally playing on his head. And I thought the expression was "standing on his head."
