    Well, that’s certainly true.

The Rockets are a 3 point shooting team. The Lakers have no outside game and score all their points in the paint. That foul "imbalance" seems totally reasonable.

That would mean people would have to pay attention and not cry "fix" every time something does not go in their favour.

People also ignore the "intentional" fouling at the end of the game that spikes the total.

This is example #378 why Giannis is the MVP. Bucks won by 1 point. The kid plays hard all of the time.

All it would cost them is a row of $1K seats per game.

Harden, 81 more free-throw attempts than the next guy.

    Fuck him.

This may be a naive question but - other than ticket and TV money - is there any reason the NBA and NHL play best of seven series? Maybe a best of three to give each team a home game- but it isn't like baseball where the seven game series is aimed at requiring teams pitching staffs to be fully tested.

Short answer: They always have. Probably copied it off baseball way way back in the day. Of course, the NBA had best two out of three opening rounds into the 70s, and three out of five well into the '8os.

Apart from revenue, to try to ensure the better team has the best chance of winning.

In hockey, where a hot goalie has won a Stanley Cup for his team more than once, series have to go some distance for a fair trial.

The NBA had best-of-5 through 2002.
