New NXT champion crowned. Nakamura beat Joe, who seems destined to head to the main roster soon, during the Japan tour. The match will air on Wednesday's NXT on the Network.

    Observer from Dec. 5:

    - The sale of TNA was finalized, and the lawsuit with Billy Corgan settled. As part of his deal, he doesn’t have a non-compete, and he is not prevented from suing individuals. Anthem Sports owns 85 percent of TNA, Aroluxe owns 10 percent, and Dixie Carter owns 5 percent.

TNA also owes American Express $269,000 for unpaid bills from corporate credit cards. The suit was filed in July, so the charges are from before then.

    - Cena has been cast as one of the three leads, with Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz, in The Pact. In the movies, they find out their teenage daughters have made a pact to lose their virginity on prom night.

    - Big Show has dropped a lot of weight. He’s down to 396 pounds, the lightest he’s been in 21 years. He’s been working with a personal trainer, and also doing some house show stuff.

    - New WWE signings: Ariya Daivari, Mustafa Ali and Nixon Newell.

    - WWE is purchasing the tape library of the Heartland Wrestling Association, from 2001 to 2003. Featured stars and matches include Nigel McGuinness, Charlie Haas and the Hardys.

    - Tyson Kidd will not appear on Total Divas this year, and the relationship between him and WWE is icy right now. He’s married to Natalya, so he’s mostly been quiet, but he might never wrestle again after suffering a neck injury in a match with Samoa Joe. Apparently, he was a last minute sub and wasn’t given time to properly warm up.

    - Eva Marie is off suspension, but hasn’t been used by WWE.

    - Superstars was quietly cancelled by WWE this week. It had been exclusive to the Network and smaller syndication and international deals since WGN cancelled it in 2011. Even though it was original programming, it seldom made the Top 20 for “most watched” on the Network in a week. 205 Live will replace it in foreign markets.

    - Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) is expected to be released from a Japanese prison on Dec. 6. He was there since mid-October for possession of liquid cannabis in a pipe.

    - The Observer’s HOF class this year is Daniel Bryan, Sting, Gene Okerlund and James McLaughlin (first American pro wrestling champion). Enshrinement requires 60 percent of the vote. Bryan got 80 percent, Sting 66 percent, Mean Gene 67 percent.

Some non-American wrestlers are close to 60 percent – Cien Caras (58), Villano III (56), Pedro Morales (54). The next closest, prominent WWE guys are Jimmy Hart (46), Howard Finkel (44) and Edge (40). Also on the list: Randy Orton (17), Vampiro (13), and Chyna (10).

People drop off the ballot once they fall below 10 percent, or 50 percent after 15 years. People are eligible 15 years after the start of a “major league” career (WWE, TNA, New Japan, WCW) or if they’re 35 and have been wrestling for 10 years. You have to get 60 percent of your voting block, which consists of reporters/journalists/historians, active wrestlers, retired wrestlers and production/promotion people.

The most prominent debuts on next year’s ballot: AJ Styles, Trish Stratus, Goldberg.

TLC was generally a fun show. I like that the Smackdown only PPVs seem to move quickly and don't feel like 4-hour marathons like the co-branded and sometimes Raw ones do. Alexa Bliss is awesome. Miz is good although I feel like they've botched the hell out of whatever momentum Ziggler had in September. I'm sick of Ambrose, show needs a new main event storyline.

Yeah, time for SDL to set up some new feuds. As much as I'd love to see Becky get the title back, it would behoove them not to play hot potato with it the way they're doing on Raw. Miz/Dolph has come to an end. Styles needs to destroy Ellsworth and let that be that.

If I'm writing SDL, I have the Wyatt Family go after individual belts, too. They finally have some momentum for Bray; now's the time to make him a true dominant heel.

Thought the show was pretty good last night, with one really bad match (Bella-Carmella). And then the crowd was pretty much dead for Bliss-Lynch, which I thought was a damn good match.

    Overall, 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.

If Conan O'Brien had a wrestling twin, it would be Jack Gallagher.

I was just about to post that I wondered when Conan O'Brien joined the WWE.
The camera operators can use that guy's chest to adjust their white balance.

The Enzo-Lana-Rusev segment was like watching the worst parts of a porno without the payoff.

So ... we're getting Charlotte vs. Sasha again, this time in a 30-minute Iron Woman match.

I absolutely loved this rivalry when it began in NXT, but it has run its course on the main roster. Have they forgotten about the other women wrestlers on the Raw roster? Since mid-April, Charlotte and Sasha have had 25 one-on-one matches against each other. That's not including a triple threat with Bayley, or the numerous tag matches they've been in during that time frame.

My gosh. Way to take something I actually gave a damn about and ruin it, WWE.
