    I kinda like the move. That team has probably already hit its ceiling and will be priced out of existence waiting for things to fall their way. There's a small chance you get a guy who's valuable, and a slightly larger chance you get a good enough player if you can bring his game to heel. If not, you get to start the tank job with a local star who can provide a bit of a draw when it gets bad. There's also a good chance of going to war with the coach, which can only help the secret tank process.

    Over the next 3 years how much farther in the playoffs will Dwight Howard carry the Hawks? Horford was good for 16 & 8 and Howard replaces that and more. But Horford leaves so ita a marginal aggregate improvement.

    This is silly. Howard and James will be paid roughly the same.

    That's a horrible move. He is a coach destroyer and a chemistry destroyer, and his teams are always better when he's on the bench.
