    Fat Tuesday indeed.

"I can't tell you if he got on the scale or not," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. "I can tell you that visiting him in January, he looked like he was in better condition."

And, from Mr. Kung Fu Panda Express:

"I don't weigh. I don't weigh in at all," Sandoval said after being asked how much weight he had lost. "I just do my work, try to do everything I can out there. I don't weigh at all in the whole offseason. I just try to get better, be in a better position and, like I say, be an athlete."

I'm glad he has a positive body image and hasn't accepted society's definitions of what's beautiful.

He was on my swimsuit cover. I'm feeling conflicted.

Lay off him; he's no Kate Upton.

    Only 4 years, $77.4 million (plus a $5-million buyout for 2020) to go ...

Good fit for J-Roll, one of my all-time favorites.

White Sox replace Alexei Ramirez with the only full-time shortstop who was worse than him last year.

In fairness, Tim Anderson is going to be their shortstop at some point, probably this season, and Rollins was brought in to help break him in. Wise move in my estimation.
