There's a lot more to his postseason resume than Game 7.

No mocking from me. I expect Bumgarner to pitch great. But, Syndergaard fared OK his last outing against the Giants.... 8 IP, 2 H, and no earned runs in a 2-0 in August.

He certainly could get pounded by the Giants. But, so far in his short career, he's pitched well in big spots.

But as @RickStain will tell you, Giants hitters are different when wearing their Halloween underpants.

No one has mentioned the most important part about the Giants making the post-season: The Cardinals season is OVER!

I started following baseball in the mid-1970s when I was a kid in Southern California, and I got to hear Scully do Dodger games and Enberg (with Don Drysdale) do Angel games. Couldn't have had a better duo to help develop my love and knowledge of the game.

I guess both of them retiring at the same time puts a neat bow on it for me.

Hey, if Willie Wilson is OK forever being known as a punk little bitch for sitting out the final day of the 1982 season -- and finishing one point ahead of Robin Yount, who went 4 for 4 and got HBP in his last plate appearance -- then it should be alright for anyone.

Geez, the Royals have been assholes for a long time, huh?

Including a dominant performance against the Pirates in the 2014 Wild Card game.

Not to forget 4-0, 0.62 ERA at Citi Field.

Starting Bumgarner is such a no-brainer, I don't know why it's in dispute.
