We're almost through the conference tournaments and to selection Monday and don't have one, so I figured it was about time.
What's the over/under on number of times in a game LSU's Rally Possum gets mentioned once ESPN gets hold of the regionals next week? Fifty-seven?

Virginia has lost six straight ACC tournament games. It's also been to two CWS finals and won a national championship since its last conference tournament victory.

Sometimes going two-and-barbecue is good for a team that's going to make the NCAA Tournament anyway. Lets them get their pitching in line for the regional without using everything up playing five or six games in a week.

I think South Carolina has now last eight straight in Hoover.

Certainly something to remember if fans start freaking out about losing momentum going into the regionals.

Rice is one inning away from having one of the most remarkable streaks in college sports come to an end.
They're trailing Southern Miss 3-1 in the ninth inning of the Conference USA championship game. If Rice loses, it will be the first time since 1995 that they haven't won either their conference's regular season or tournament championship. It's a 21-year streak that spans three different conferences (Southwest, WAC and C-USA).

Hell of a finish in Hattiesburg.
Rice gets runners on first and second with two outs, guy hits one into the gap in left center. They send the trail runner home and he's thrown out at the plate for the final out. Southern Miss wins 3-2, and Rice's 21-year conference championship streak is over.

Oregon State beats UCLA 1-0, 3-0 and 6-0 this weekend. No runs for the Bruins in 27 innings.

How many 11 p.m. starts at the Texas sites to fill out the TV schedule?? Those sites are the farthest west.

The NCAA's traditional disrespect for West Coast baseball may have hit a new height.

I did some digging, and this is the first time since they went to the current format in 1999 that there have not been any regionals held west of the Rockies. Didn't go any further back than that, but I wonder if it's ever happened before?
