    The Yankees were the dominant team during his formative years, so it's plausible he became a Yankees fan (he was 14 when they won in 2000) and, once he got filthy rich, he decided to buy one from some schlub who couldn't afford the taxes on it (Knoblauch probably fits the description).

    Yes, tying run in top 9 thrown out on an attempted inside the park home run.
    Or bases loaded, winning run scores in bottom 9 on triple, batter is speedster who clearly reached third.
