Given Sale's age and contract status, it seems like a heist for the Red Sox. Time will tell, of course, but it's damn hard to find a pitcher of Sale's talent with such a team-friendly contract.

5 or 6 per for Chapman? You'll have to at least triple that. Joaquin Benoit just got 7, Melancon got 15. Chapman will get 5 or 6 per month.

 

Agreed. He is going to get more than Melancon. I think the idea is to use Herrera as the closer and fill in with younger, cheaper arms around him.
