    Joe Buck?

He thinks he's funny - it's up to you to decide whether you think he is - and he'll try to push self-deprecating humor this weekend more than once. There's no way of knowing whether it'll land.

I'll admit it: I was tired of NBC. The telecast had basically become every on-course announcer working against Johnny Miller, balancing his criticisms - which have been pretty mild, obvious things for some time - with the kind of boot licking that befits the cart boy in the parking lot looking for a tip.

A couple nice -1 rounds by a pair of seniors to sit in the top twenty: Miguel Angel and Monty.

    Just turned it on.

Why did they decide to play the US Open in Bosnia-Herzegovina?

So much for "I've won three of these things."

Tiger should just sign for a missed cut right now.

    Yup. It's pretty ugly.

BTW, maybe I'm old-fashioned, but it still stuns me to look on the card and see a 541-yard par-4.

I think Norman said there are SIX par-4s that are over 500 yards.

Hell, they're going back and forth on what par will be on the first and 18th holes. Now THAT'S crazy.
