    What a great year already in the majors. Perfect way to cap it off. I'm an obvious Spieth homer but I'd be good with Day winning it.

    My wife and I are out here to watch. It's terrible for a fan. Super crowded, if you are going to follow a golfer you are going to be looking through someone's armpits.

    We finally settled on the stands at 12. No cell coverage, no leader board. We were clueless as to what's going on.

    Regular tour events have big video boards. Here it's a couple of hand leader boards.

    Place is nice but not good if you want to follow the tournament.

    So I was watching yesterday, but I had to bail out about 5 (CT) to cover an event. When I left, Spieth was slogging around making par every hole while everyone else seemed to be scoring, and I was thinking, man, he needs to get hot right now if he wants to even have a chance.

    I get to the game, get set up, write a couple notes and I hear someone say, "Spieth's in second." I pulled up the leaderboard and couldn't believe it. I missed the whole damn charge.

    BTW, I'm still taking Spieth against the field.
