I hope the Dallas native can handle what Kohler throws at him.

Lingmerth went from 8-under to 4-under in three holes -- double, bogey, bogey to close the front nine.

Might want to re-check the formula. That looks like a pretty good-sized pool in the linked story and the 300-pound blocked dropped it 6 degrees. Not long-term, but for about a 40-minute period.

Now back to the PGA Championship. Is this not a major championship? Why the hell does TV coverage not start till afternoon?

It's pathetic. There's more coverage in Great Britain than here. Meanwhile, Lingmerth comes back to take the lead at minus 7. He's at 2 under for the day having played 14 holes, 3 in par.

And a bogey on the next hole makes 3 pars in 15. Meanwhile, Spieth is now tied for the lead. Hard to see him not winning.

Go to the nearest available site and check out Lingmerth's card. You just have to. He's got five 5s and one 6 and he's still one-under for the day. He's like some weird hybrid of Tiger 2000 and Tiger 2015.

Looks like he finished with five pars in 18 holes for your roller-coaster round of the week.

Three balls -- and then the offending club -- into Lake Michigan.
