    The summer of 2002 when the games were on in the middle of the night/early morning were awesome. I have no idea how my liver held up and I didn't get fired.

    I worked for an NPR station at the time. I watched a couple of games on a small TV in the booth while doing local cut-ins for Morning Edition

    Actually one cut-in for local weather happened right after the US scored. After reading current temperatures, I added "and currently the US is up 1-0."
