Not exactly high profile, but Ted Woodward was called lazy by a few people before getting canned at Maine.

MJax? Is it too much to actually spell out his name?

Having covered him some as a player, I always thought Jackson was two-faced and phony. Just one man's opinion.

    But enough about Frank Vogel.

He did some meet and greet, community/sponsorship relations type work for the Knicks when I dealt with them. Felt the same way about him.

Agreed. Everything Lacob has done since bringing an end to the Chris Cohan era of suckitude has been, uh, golden. He's come a long way since nearly being booed out of the arena shortly after the Ellis trade.

Steve Spurrier was considered lazy and unprepared when he coached the Redskins.

So no African-American coach can ever be lazy and unprepared?

Jackson runs a ministry in LA. With the strength of his beliefs, it might be plausible that he wasn't focused totally on coaching.

    Nice try.

You mean a guy who bleats his religion as loud and long as he can, and still gets caught fooling around with a stripper? That kind of two-faced and phony?

Skinner was called "lazy," which he wasn't, as shorthand to describe two things. 1. He had a 1970s NBA casual attitude towards x's and o's, contrary to modern doctrine. 2. He had less than no interest in the schmoozing with boosters also considered as important by administrators.

Derek Dooley, Quin Snyder, Lane Kiffin are three white guys who have coached "my" teams who have reguarly been called lazy by fans and pundits alike.

Now seeing Kerr as a stretch with Golden State and Stan Van Gundy might get it.

Thought the world of SVG during his Orlando run.
