    That's the thing about the Basketball Hall, college and Olympic honors are part of the package. It's not just NBA.

    And Bernard King went in last year.

    Mourning is definitely borderline. His resume does have a two-time defensive player of the year bulletpoint plus he was a first-team all-American, a second-team all-American, a Big East Player of the year honor and an Olympic gold medal.

    The 14,311 points and 7,137 rebounds don't look impressive enough to overwhelm voters. He is 11th in blocks at 2,356
