2013 MLB Regular Season running thread

    For starters, no second wildcard needed. Take the top four and get on with it, so you can finish before Thanksgiving.

    If you do wind up with a tie, there are plenty of possible tie-breaking criteria, just like the NFL, NHL and NBA have.

    Bottom line, after 162 games, I have zero sympathy for someone who comes up one game short.

    I thought teams from the same division weren't allowed to meet in the Division Series. When did that change?

    That changed when the wild card play-in was set up. Simplifies scheduling.
