The White Sox look to be heading toward a season of mediocrity unless they can rack up wins against the rest of this very bad division (outside of Detroit.) but based on their history that just isn't going to happen.

Big-market teams in the Premier League and small-market teams in the Champions League? :D

If the Astros are gonna' go through the trouble of going old school on the hats, go the entire way.

I like the updated star-H logo, but those new uniforms are really blah. They look like uniforms Hollywood producers would use if they made a movie or TV show featuring the Astros and couldn't get the MLB licenses to use the logos.

Within two years, he helped to deliver the team’s 27th World Series title.

Sometimes my eyes can't to believe what I see in the NYT.

    Astros 8 Rangers 2 (F)

Ankiel's pinch-hit 3-run homer against Derek Lowe is big blow while Maxwell had 2 triples.

they could do that in a limited way out west, have the NL West be essentially the Pacific Division and the AL West be the Mountain Division, the East and Central in each league be as is. That would limit travel and teams in the central time zone playing all their division road games in the Pacific time zone.

The traditionalist in me hates the thought of that but in a world where the Houston Astros have the best record in the American League, life seems to no longer hold any meaning.
