Wider ice, no touch icing (which the NHL should have adopted ages ago), goalies can wander out of the net and I believe in international hockey (just like in major junior) you can change lines after an icing. Three-man, not five-man shootout and after the first three guys the same guy can shoot as often as he want which the Canadians memorably used in the semifinal against the Yanks years ago when Jonathan Toews scored three shootout goals with three different moves.

Big question now is, who's going to be Canada's starting goalie?

I just turned on TSN"s replay of the Canada/Sweden game.

How can we have a WJC without Pierre McGuire? Who am I going to yell at during the tourney?

God, so nice to hear Ray Ferraro with Gord Miller.

I know the thread title has been changed a couple of times but shouldn't it be "Championship", not "Championships" : )

You're probably the only one who voted for me so it doesn't matter. ;)

Great article by Roy MacGregor on the beauty of the WJC

Being so young, they make mistakes, and capitalizing on mistakes, any minor-league coach will tell you, is what determines hockey games. The more mistakes, the more excitement; the more excitement, the more youthful exuberance and desperation takes chances; the more chances, the more mistakes. And even more excitement.

And then there are the cultural differences. Ray Ferraro tweeted this. It's the washroom in the hotel lobby in Russia
