Imagine you're an athletic director of a major college and you're replacing the head football coach from a school in the southern area of the country.

    Who are your candidates?

    Thanks for your input.

    Brad Renfro.

He was exceptional in The Client.

Oh, breakfast beers for the group newbie.

If I'm the AD, these are some of the calls I would probably make:

    Urban Meyer
    Steve Spurrier
    Mack Brown
The skeleton of Bear Bryant (or at least his houndstooth hat)
    Buck, Berry, Mills and Stipe
    Phil Jackson
    Rick Pitino
    Bill Clinton
    Bobby Bowden
    Tommy Bowden
    Terry Bowden
    Denzel Washington
    Ron Zook (pysche!)
Rick Neuheisel (just to laugh uproariously at him)
    Jenny McCarthy
    Ace Frehley
    Sammy Hagar

Of course, if you're the AD and looking for candidates, let's talk. But quickly, I'm considering some opportunities at the CIA as well.

I'll be the nice guy. We already have a coaching carousel thread in which we've discussed candidates at length. It's about two threads below this one.

Now, It's early, but I'm in the mood for a stout, newb.

Looks we have a Tennessee grad working at ESPN.

Folks don't read at all on Rocky Top. Heads too rocky by far.

And AQB, I suspect he is from the Bristol where stock cars go mashing into each other in a phone book.

Yes, that little short track in northeast Tennessee is where I call home 60 hours or so a week.

Thanks to any who responded. Not necessary to be nice to the new guy. But did like to see the list and the direction to the other thread.

I am partial to IPA's. Though an Irish car bomb makes both good breakfast beer and dessert beer.
